1. Purpose and acceptance
These terms govern the affiliate program (also called the “referral program”) operated by RANKSOURCE SAS on the ranksource platform. They supplement the Terms of Service; in the event of a conflict relating to the program, these terms prevail.
Participation in the program is free and involves no commitment. It implies full and unreserved acceptance of these terms. Activating the affiliate link from the dashboard constitutes enrollment in the program.
2. Definitions
- Affiliate (or referrer): any ranksource user, advertiser or publisher, who shares their affiliate link or code.
- Referral: any person who creates a ranksource account attributed to an affiliate under the conditions of section 4.
- Affiliate link: the affiliate's personal URL; affiliate code: the associated code, which can be entered at sign-up.
- ranksource remuneration: for each order, the difference between the advertiser price excluding tax and the publisher earnings. No additional fee is added to the advertiser price or deducted from the publisher earnings to fund the affiliate program.
- Finalized transaction: an advertiser purchase or publisher sale resulting in a validated publication that has not been canceled or refunded.
- Commission: the affiliate's reward, calculated on the actual ranksource remuneration generated by an eligible transaction and paid in advertiser credits or withdrawable earnings.
3. Eligibility
The program is open to anyone with an active ranksource account in good standing, whether they are an advertiser, publisher or both. ranksource may require accurate, up-to-date billing details before paying cash earnings (section 7).
The program may be unavailable in some countries where local regulations do not allow it. The affiliate is responsible for checking that their participation is lawful under the law that applies to them.
4. Referral attribution
- An account can be attributed to one affiliate only. Attribution takes place when the account is created and is final.
- Attribution happens either through the affiliate code entered at sign-up, or through the attribution cookie set when the affiliate link is clicked, valid for 60 days. A manually entered code takes precedence over the cookie.
- Self-referral is prohibited: an account cannot be attributed to its own holder, directly or indirectly.
- Existing accounts cannot be retroactively attached to an affiliate.
5. Commissions and eligible transactions
The affiliate earns commission for 12 months from the referred user's first finalized transaction. Signing up, topping up an account or adding a media outlet does not trigger a reward or start this period.
- Purchases by a referred advertiser: every finalized purchase generates a commission calculated on the order's actual ranksource remuneration.
- Sales by a referred publisher: every finalized sale generates a commission calculated on the order's actual ranksource remuneration.
- If the advertiser and publisher on the same order were both referred, each referrer independently earns their reward from that order's actual ranksource remuneration.
- Each commission is created after the relevant publication has been validated. Its due date is no earlier than 180 days after the later of the publication date and the commission creation date. It is released only after a successful compliance check performed from that due date. A check failure, monitoring suspension or incident, dispute, suspected fraud, or missing reliable exchange rate postpones validation while the hold remains active.
- A canceled or refunded publication does not generate commission for the affected order line. If an order is partially refunded, only commissions tied to the refunded line or lines are reversed; commissions on sibling lines remain earned if they are still eligible. If an affected commission has already been validated or paid, it is reversed, where necessary by offsetting future earnings or withdrawals.
- Each commission is created in the referral’s order currency. The EUR conversion used to select and allocate tiers is a frozen, auditable calculation pivot; it does not relabel the amount paid.
6. Reward modes
The affiliate chooses their reward mode in the dashboard. A mode change applies only to future commissions. The schedule below applies only to commissions created after it takes effect; every commission created earlier permanently keeps its model, rate and amount.
- Advertiser credits: up to 30% of ranksource remuneration. The commission is first calculated and created in the order currency. If this differs from the wallet currency, ranksource converts it when it is validated and credited, no earlier than 180 days after publication, using the latest reliable reference rate recorded for the currency pair. The rate, its date and the amount credited are shown in the dashboard. The result is rounded to the nearest cent; if no reliable rate is available, validation is postponed. Credits can be used on advertiser orders and cannot be withdrawn as cash.
- Withdrawable earnings: up to 25% of ranksource remuneration. The commission remains in the order currency. Balances are tracked and withdrawals requested separately for each currency, under the conditions of article 7.
- The schedule applies per publication and across successive tiers: each portion of ranksource remuneration receives only the rate for its tier. Crossing a threshold does not change the rate applied to earlier tiers.
- To determine the tiers, the publication’s ranksource remuneration is converted into EUR, the pivot currency, using the latest reliable reference rate available, frozen with its date and source when the commission is created. This calculation conversion does not change the payout currency. If no reliable rate is available, calculation is deferred.
- The amount resulting from all tiers is converted where necessary and then subject to one final rounding to the nearest cent. No intermediate rounding is applied per tier.
7. Withdrawing cash earnings
- Withdrawals are available from $50, by SEPA transfer or PayPal.
- Withdrawals are conditional on the provision of complete and accurate billing details (name or company, address, IBAN or PayPal account, VAT number where applicable).
- Each withdrawal covers one currency only; balances are tracked per currency.
- A self-billing invoice is issued automatically for each approved withdrawal.
- Validated earnings left unwithdrawn for 24 consecutive months are forfeited, after reminders are sent to the affiliate.
- ranksource may put a withdrawal on hold pending verification in the event of suspected fraud or anomaly.

9. Prohibited uses
In particular, the following are prohibited and result in the application of Article 10:
- self-sponsorship, creation of fictitious or affiliate-controlled accounts, and any artificial order intended to generate a commission;
- the use of fraudulent payment methods or inaccurate billing details;
- circular, concerted transactions or transactions without a real economic objective intended to divert the program;
- misleading promotion: spam, promises of guaranteed earnings, misrepresentation of the program or of ranksource services;
- any communication suggesting that the affiliate acts on behalf of ranksource, as an agent, employee or official representative.
10. Control, suspension and revocation
ranksource runs automated and manual checks on program activity (fraud signals, cross-checking of details, abnormal volumes). In the event of a breach of these terms or serious suspicion of fraud, ranksource may suspend or revoke a referral relationship, cancel pending commissions, claw back commissions paid unduly and, in the event of a serious breach, suspend the account under the conditions of the Terms of Service.
The affiliate is notified of the measure and may submit their observations by writing to [email protected].
11. Affiliate status and taxation
The affiliate takes part in the program as an independent party. The program does not create any relationship of subordination, mandate, agency or partnership between the affiliate and RANKSOURCE SAS.
The affiliate is solely responsible for declaring and paying all taxes, duties and contributions applicable to the amounts received under the program, according to their situation and jurisdiction.
12. Personal data
Referral identities are shown to the affiliate in anonymized form in the dashboard. IP addresses used for anti-fraud signals are stored in hashed form. The processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy.
13. Suspension and termination of the program
ranksource may temporarily suspend or end the program. During a suspension, no new referrals or commissions are created. Commissions already validated remain earned, except in cases of fraud.
